Dear Editor:
I would just like to comment on what a pleasure it was to see live dinner theatre come to Platte City this weekend, when we had the opportunity to see "A Christmas Carol" at the Platte City Civic Center.
It was put on by Fair Based Productions, and I believe they performed in Riverside, also. Several cast members, of all ages, were from the area, I also believe. It was excellent. The acting was superb, as was the costuming, sound and sets. I was a bit skeptical before we went, because I had no idea what to expect, but was wonderfully surprised by the professionalism I saw.
I encourage the people of Platte County to support groups such as this to bring theatre to the area. This was very entertaining, and a wonderful value. To all the people who worked hard on making it happen, thank you for a very enjoyable evening. My family hopes you put many more shows together for Platte City, and that the people of the Platte Co. will embrace it as we will.
